Kinzig Design Home was launched in 2003 by sisters-in-law, Susan and Caryn Kinzig. The lamps incorporate vibrant blown glass and unique silk shades. The line includes table lamps, floor lamps and fixtures. There are approximately 75 lamps in the ever changing collection; but there are many combinations that can be made for designers who are working on specific projects. “We have the ability to customize the lamps and turn them around on a timely basis as we produce the lamps ourselves.”
Susan and Caryn want Buyers to see the decorative range of the lamps, from contemporary to traditional. With that in mind, they selectively invited other highly regarded artisans to produce tables and accent furniture to be displayed with the lamps which may help people to visualize the collection in new ways. The other companies that will be represented include: MAS Glass, Girardini Design and Salmagundi upholstered furniture. The showroom will have a distinctive ambiance with very unique pieces, all Hand Made in the United States.
Michael Amis of MAS Glass Studio has been the primary glass blower for Kinzig Design lamps since 2005. Michael is an accomplished glass artist producing colorful platters, glass ware, bowls, vases and centerpieces.”I use traditional and non traditional techniques to produce contemporary functional and sculptural hand blown glass pieces.” Expect to find a selection of Michael’s vessels on display.
